Payment Policy

This policy explains how ObiCalc subscriptions are billed, renewed, cancelled, refunded and restored. Payments are handled by the authorised app store or payment platform, not directly by ObiCalc.

1. Overview

This Payment Policy explains how payments, subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellation, refunds and access restoration work for ObiCalc. It should be read together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

ObiCalc may offer paid subscription access to premium clinical tools, saved record workflows, references, and PDF export features.
The final price, currency, taxes, trial eligibility, billing period and renewal terms are always shown by the applicable app store before you confirm purchase.
If there is a conflict between this Payment Policy and the checkout terms shown by Apple, Google or another authorised payment platform, the platform checkout terms control for that transaction.

2. Payment Processor

Payments are processed by the app store or payment platform used to purchase ObiCalc, such as Google Play Billing or Apple App Store payments.

ObiCalc does not directly collect, process or store your payment card number, bank account details or full billing credentials.
The payment platform may process billing identifiers, transaction IDs, country, currency, tax information and payment status according to its own policies.
RevenueCat or similar subscription infrastructure may be used to validate entitlement status and restore purchases, but not to collect card details directly from you.

3. Free Trial

If a free trial is offered, the trial begins when activated through the official purchase screen.

Trial availability may depend on platform rules, region, account history, plan type, promotional eligibility or previous trial use.
Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the subscription may automatically convert into a paid subscription.
The app store may require a valid payment method to start a trial even if no charge is made during the trial period.
Deleting the app during the trial does not cancel the trial or future renewal. Cancellation must be completed through the app store subscription settings.

4. Subscription Plans and Renewal

ObiCalc subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal deadline required by the payment platform.

Subscription periods may be monthly, annual or another period shown in the official listing.
An annual plan may display an equivalent monthly cost for comparison, but billing may occur annually.
Renewal charges are handled by the app store using the payment method linked to your platform account.
If renewal fails because payment cannot be completed, access may pause or end until payment is restored.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription through the same platform account used to purchase it.

Google Play: open Google Play, tap your profile icon, choose Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then ObiCalc, then Cancel subscription.
Apple App Store: open iOS Settings, tap your Apple ID, choose Subscriptions, then ObiCalc, then Cancel Subscription.
Cancellation stops future renewals. It usually does not refund the current paid period unless the app store or applicable law provides otherwise.
After cancellation, you may retain access until the end of the paid billing period shown by the platform.

6. Refunds

Refund requests are handled by the app store or payment platform that processed the transaction.

For Google Play purchases, request a refund through Google Play support or the Google Play order history flow.
For Apple purchases, request a refund through Apple Report a Problem or Apple Support.
Because platform providers process payment, ObiCalc generally cannot issue direct refunds for app store purchases.
Refund eligibility depends on platform rules, timing, region, local consumer law, and account history.
Nothing in this policy limits mandatory refund or cancellation rights that apply under your local law.

7. Taxes, Currency and Price Changes

Prices may include or exclude taxes depending on the payment platform, your country and local law.

The payment platform may calculate and collect VAT, GST, sales tax or similar taxes.
Currency conversion and foreign transaction fees may be determined by your payment provider or bank.
Subscription prices may change. If required by the platform or applicable law, you will be notified before a price change applies.
If the platform requires consent to a price change and consent is not given, your subscription may end at the next renewal date.

8. Access, Entitlements and Restore Purchases

Paid access is linked to the app store account and/or ObiCalc account used when the subscription was purchased.

Use the same app store account and ObiCalc sign-in account when restoring access on a new device.
If access does not appear after payment, use Restore Purchase or sign out and back in before contacting support.
Entitlement status may take a short time to sync between the payment platform, subscription provider and app.
We may request a transaction ID, screenshot of the platform receipt or account email to investigate access issues, but never your full card details.

9. Promotions and Introductory Offers

ObiCalc may offer promotional pricing, introductory offers, coupons or region-specific pricing when allowed by the platform.

Promotions may be limited to certain users, countries, platforms, plans or time periods.
Promotional eligibility is usually determined by the app store and may not be manually overridden by ObiCalc.
When a promotion ends, renewal may continue at the standard price shown before confirmation unless cancelled.

10. Chargebacks and Misuse

If a transaction is reversed, charged back, refunded or suspected to be fraudulent, access to paid features may be suspended or removed.

You agree not to attempt to bypass subscription controls, share paid access unlawfully or manipulate platform billing systems.
We may suspend access where required to protect the service, comply with platform rules or investigate abuse.

For payment or subscription access questions, contact support@obicalc.com.

Include the platform used for purchase, your ObiCalc account email, approximate purchase date and a non-sensitive transaction reference if available.
Do not email full credit card numbers, bank details or passwords.
For refunds, contact the app store first because refunds are controlled by the payment processor.

Important payment reminder

Deleting the app or deleting your ObiCalc account does not automatically cancel an active app store subscription. Subscription cancellation must be completed through the app store account that started the purchase.
